Pizza vs. Zombies ($2.99, Universal) is a new quirky action-platformer from Riverman Media LLC. The premise of the game is that the undead are rising and it is up to a pizza to stop them. The game is played from the perspective of a 25 foot tall, screen-filling pizza that attempts to destroy all of the skeletons that it comes across. To destroy all of these skeletons the player must play through 100 levels of a variety of different challenges involving skiing down hills, balancing on giant skulls, battling skulls sumo-wrestler style and more.
The presentation of this game is particularly quirky and exciting. The game is presented in a surreal and almost Tim Burton-esque style. The graphics are very suitable for the premise and fit the Pizza vs. Skeletons idea very well. The music of the game also works very well and offers a wide variety of styles based off of the levels.
Pizza vs. Skeletons is a very quirky and odd title that does not disappoint in gameplay, graphics or presentation. This game is an absolute must buy for fans of action-platformers, quirky and surreal games, or the best of the best on the AppStore.
