Jan 14, 2011 - The NAMM show is happening this weekend in Anaheim and with it attracting hundred of musicians and music related folks to our area. NAMM is an acronym for National Association of Music Merchants, the former name of the group that organizes this trade-only event and which is now known as the International Music Products Association. Only people with badges can make it into the main event, however, a few music shows are open to the public.
Thursday night saw the Second Annual Night of Worship presented by the Worship Arts Technology Summit. Sheila E., the daughter of percussionist Pete Escovedo and a respected percussionist on her own right, performed for this event. The pictures attached were taken by Latin music fan Anthony Garcia, who described the Night of Worship as "very inspirational."
Another event open to the public will be held tonight at 7.40 pm, when Henry Brun and the Latin Players will entertain for an hour at the Sheraton Park Hotel Lounge, 1855 S. Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA.
