Photo Review: Alice In Chains at WinStar Casino

Saturday - August 13. The much anticipated unplugged show that was originally scheduled for February this year, Alice in Chains graced the stage at the WinStar Casino to an excited and energetic audience. There were plenty of candles lit and low lights to give that acoustic and laid back vibe. Even a few sofas on stage which when the encore came about, Jerry Cantrell was grabbing folks by the arm to help them on the stage to sit back and enjoy the show from an entirely unique perspective.

William DuVall continues to have a great stage presence and fits in so well with Alice In Chains. Layne Staley has tough shoes to fill, but William does an excellent job at pulling off those classic songs as well as bringing his own sound to the new songs. While this was an "unplugged" show, William was center stage with an acoustic guitar but there was plenty of rocking moments with Jerry on electric guitar. More of a mix of acoustic and electric, but a great show none the less and one you know you were glad to be there to see. Sean Kinney and Mike Inez are always a treat to see on stage. This is one group of musicians that continue to stand out in today's line up of rock and roll.
