Wound Care by PetzLife

One of the great new products I discovered at Global Pet Expo 2014 is Wound Care by PetzLife. While the company is well known for its outstanding oral care products for cats and dogs, it also offers a variety of natural grooming products, pest repellant solutions, and a whole lot more.

Wound Care is an anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic topical formula designed to heal scratches, minor cuts, ringworm and abrasions. It is safe for both cats and dogs. It is also great for humans! Wound Care comes in a one-ounce spray bottle.

The plant-based ingredient list is impressive - a blend of oils including special regenerative skin care oils: organic virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, apricot kernel oil, neem oil, red raspberry seed oil, cranberry seed oil and lavender oil (for those concerned with applying essential oils such as lavender directly onto a cat, please note that they well diluted by the carrier oils).

Since my cat Obi had a fresh scratch on his back and I had one on my thumb, it was the perfect opportunity to test Wound Care.

I followed the directions, spraying the oil blend on each of us, two times per day. Within a few days, both of our wounds were completely healed. As a bonus, the oil smells wonderful. Even Obi approved of its clean, soft scent. I was so impressed by how quickly Wound Care worked I decided to go rogue and applied it to a blemish (on me, not Obi) - it healed in two days.

PetzLife Wound Care retails for $20 and can be found at many brick and mortar retailers that carry PetzLife products. To find a retailer near you, click on the Store Locator tab on It can also be ordered directly from the company website or from a variety of online retailers.
