Finally watched the animated film, "ParaNorman," and overall it was a very great movies. Filled with horror and had a nice message about it's okay about being different. "ParaNorman," made a creepy film while it had a great message about bullying. Norman is a little boy who is ostracized because he talks and see the dead and he loves everything horror. His family doesn't understand him and at school he's made fun of and called a freak. Though in the end there everyone learns a lesson. The movie made for Halloween uses horror to give children and adults, a good lesson to learn.
Personally, stop motion animation is a favorite of mine there is just something about it that makes a good animated movie. "ParaNorman," has a great creepy feel to it that will entertain both older kids and adults. A film about witches, zombies, and a boy who talks to the dead, does make an interesting story. In the end it's a movie that tells us don't judge others even if some people act different than you. Many of us can relate to the message from kids to adults. So the story and the animation was pretty perfect. There was some comedy in it, found it funny that the townspeople were so neurotic and they thought that Norman was the weird one. The movie also does have some sad parts in it that are like really? I liked the story behind the zombies and the curse that was behind on the town. It made the movie to be sad but also not like other movies either. It's very different than the usual kids movie that is for sure! That's what makes it so good.
Horror fans and older kids a like would most luckily love this movie. Overall it's a delightful animated film that has a great message behind it. It's currently on the ballot at the Oscars for Best Animated Feature. My rating for this movie is 4 1/2 out of 5 stars!
