"Evil Dead 2" is a fun and wacky movie with blood and gore to match the humor. Bruce Campbell makes the movie and it wouldn't be as good without him. His character, Ash Williams goes through literally hell through the movie and still seems to give the audience some laughs. Unlike the first one, this movie has more humor though both have a lot of oddness to them. The story takes us back to the cabin where Ash and his girlfriend Linda expect to have a lovely time but instead are attack by demons. The professor's daughter and an entourage come and it's a night fighting demons and an evil forest.
Ash: There's something out there. That... that witch in the cellar is only part of it. It lives... out in those woods, in the dark... something... something that's come back from the dead.
This is not a movie for the faint heart but it's a movie that gives out laugh because the dialogue and how random some scenes are. Of course there are some scenes that are a little scary, it's not like the first but it does have the scenes. The evil witch demon thing in the cellar is crazy looking. When Ash turns into 'Evil' Ash, he's not the greatest looking either. It's a definitely a cult classic and a must see for those who have never seen it and love a good horror comedy movie. Campbell was born to play the role, he has that dark humor and just is great.
Ash: [to his freshly sawn off possessed hand] Here's your new home.
[Ash places a bucket and a bunch of books on it to trap the hand, the top book reads "A farewell to arms"]
The cabin is not a place where anyone would want to go too unless someone likes demons and the Book of the Dead. The evil forest was it is, evil is creepy. These trees will do nasty things to people! Sam Raimi, who can't be left out, directed the movie. It's a 4 star movie that makes the watcher cringe and laugh at the same time!
