Action and outdoor adventure sports don't need to end when a baby (especially your first) comes along! Hiking and light scrambling, beginning at six months old, are a great way to get outside and get some exercise. A great product to get that done is the Osprey Poco Premium.
After a ton of research, I chose the Osprey due to the overall reviews and the quality of their regular packs. It truly lived up to the Osprey name. It is durable and comfortable. It is very light at 7 1/2 lbs, but very sturdy. It has a ton of room for the baby now, and adjusts as she grows. She fits in very securely and comfortably for short walks to long hikes. The Premium model has the most storage at 34 liters and has a detachable daypack. It doesn't limit my mobility, nor affect my balance any more than a normal backpack. With the quality, comfort and security of the Poco, we will be enjoying our hikes for a long time, until she can hike for herself!
The Poco Premium retails for $299, and is worth every penny.
