On Thursday December 2nd, I had to pleasure of being invited to the OPIVU Salon re-opening and makeup launch party. From the looks of the outside, the OPIVU Salon looks like your everyday Salon but once you walk inside your entire world is changed. Debora Killeen, an interior decorator, filled the OPIVU Salon with culture from every piece of the world. Debora decorated the space with wallpaper from England, lamps from San Francisco, and an beautiful chandelier from Morocco. Debora wanted to keep in mind a budget though and recycled as many products as she could.
Moses and Susanna Gora are the owners of OPIVU Salon and were wonderful hosts for their re-opening party. The moment I walked through the doors of OPIVU I was greeted by both Moses and Susanna. Moses took me on a tour of their beautiful salon. One of the things that amazed me about the salon was the open bar that they used to serve coffee during the day to their clients. Moses was very hospitable and said that Susanna and him had been "working from the ground up." After my tour, Susanna introduced herself to me and told me about her past with he OPIVU Salon. Susanna had been working for OPIVU for 17 years and worked her way up. She was an assistant and did the behind the scenes work at the salon.
While I was walked around the Salon, I was introduced to many stylists but one stood out to me. Micheal Mejia, who introduced himself to me and was extremely friendly. Throughout my visit he would come up to me to chat and ask me how I was doing. Micheal made me want to come back to the Salon and get my hair cut by him because of how friendly he was.
OPIVU Salon had some of the best food I have tasted. Their entire party was catered by Patrick David. Some of the amazing food included was sushi, petite sandwiches, Chinese chicken salad inside of Chinese take out containers and for dessert we had chocolate filled soufflé. One of the unique things about Patrick David was that he donated and sponsored the OPIVU Salon opening.
The OPIVU Salon had offers hair styling, waxes, and facials. To learn more about the services they offer, check out their website at http://opivu.com/blog/. Overall, I would definitely go back to the OPIVU Salon for a hair cut or a facial. Everyone in the Salon was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was beautiful. OPIVU Salon is located at 111-A Town and Country Drive in Danville California. You can contact them by calling them at 925-838-8482. Stay tuned for my next article on the OPIVU Makeup Line Launch.
