The craft beer community has gone through many changes over the past few years. It seems that beers come in and they can either survive or quietly go away. I'm happy to report that a well liked beer is making its way back into the Tennessee area.
Dogfish Head Brewery is making its way back to Nashville. This brewery has been spotted in Chattanooga and Memphis with rumors of it coming this way. Dogfish Head did quite well before it had to pull out of the area. The reason that this brewery pulled out was they could not keep up with demand. It is nice to hear that have fixed that problem and plan on coming back. As you probably already know their mainstay beers that were here were 60 minute and 90 minute IPA. These are just 2 of the many beers that were introduced to the area a few years ago.
On a side note a new law has been proposed that would help places such as growler refill spot The Filling Station. It seems in Davidson County some previous requirements for serving beer have been relaxed and brought to a common sense level. Essentially, hopefully places like The Filling Station will soon be able to serve beer as well. The law is to have them be able to serve beer in the establishments. So keep your eye out for these new develops.
