Mighty Leaf Tea Company

Mighty Leaf Tea company, might sound like just another tea company to most, but to someone that has been drinking tea my whole life and actually practice Tazo, which is the art of tea, per say, I recently found myself astonished by drinking a cup of tea, allow me to explain in this review.

I have never heard of such a company as Mighty Leaf Tea company until recently I seen an ad on the computer for them. Naturally, as I am a heavy tea drinker, I clicked on the ad to see what they offered and what made them so special. To my astonishment I learned that they do a hand full of things that made me go in awe over their company and products. Because I was intrigued, to say the least, I ordered some samples and was over loaded with generosity. The company had no problem sending me boxes of samples as well as a folder with tons of information about their company.

Now what matters most was the taste of their teas and the focus they placed on their products. What is astonishing is to learn that their tea bags are hand made, truly biodegradable/compostable and all without harmful chemicals. In fact, in 2006, the new biodegradable Mighty Leaf Tea Pouch received the award for "Best Green Packaging" by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA). The tea flavors were very traditional tasting and of high quality none the less.

I was immediately taken back by the flavor on even a second brew of their Organic Spring Jasmine. Most all tea can be brewed two times before it loses its flavor and quality, but there is always a noticeable difference in taste at the second brew, this was not the case with this tea. I tried not only their Spring Jasmine, but Orange Dulce, Vanilla Bean, organic earl grey, organic breakfast, organic African nectar and ginger twist. I love the fact that they have 9 organic teas that they offer!

For those that like the scientific approach, their tea bags are silken which means they are biodegradable, the tea bag tags are not "stapled" on, they are color coded for caffeine content or not, the tea bags are triangle shaped and not over loaded, which makes for a much better brew and deeper nutrient dense cup of tea. At any rate, this is some of the best teas I have ever drank and I would more than welcome Mighty Leaf Tea into my home anytime. I give this company 5 stars and applaud them in their sustainability, organic farming support and superior quality assurance practice.
