So you have the schedule and maybe you attended a few shows or watched them live from desk. Day one of NYFW/MBFW happened and during it BCBG walked, the shoes at Creatures of the Wind were brilliant and by that I not only mean shiny, I am they were beautiful. They recently collaborated on a footwear project with a fellow stylist/designer extraordinaire “The lovely Tabitha Simmons” the result? Brilliant! Richard Chi Love like Edun had modern male and female garments (smart); Lisa Perry was cute in a 70’s style sort of way. If you didn’t know it J Brand has more than just sexy jeans it also has clothes. I am a big fan of Tadashi Shoji and boy did he have a lot of concepts in that collection (beautiful ones of course). Prabal Gurung celebrated his collaboration with Target and partied after Alex Wang style (a comment made by attendees). Thakoon Addition was added to the list of first day showers in massive proportions, one of my favorite Costello Tagliapietra was Ubber Chic, Organic by John Patrick closed on a pink, warm and wearable note. Kimberly Ovitz’s collection was cohesive and Veronica Beard gave us a little bit of everything both are most definably are designers to keep an eye open for.
The Amfar gala took place, Viva Le Amfar!
So weather advisories are in place, we are getting hit by a storm of not only fashionistas but snow too. YAY!
