Nutri-Grain fruit and oat harvest cereal bars

We were asked to sample Nutri-Grain Fruit and Oat Harvest cereal bars and received samples to try. Over the years we have enjoyed other Nutri-Grain products and looked forward to sampling these bars.

We tried both the blueberry and strawberry bars. They were a cross between soft and chewy and a firm, crispy bar. The bottom had a delicious crisp layer followed by a layer of fruit and topped with a streusel-like topping. We enjoyed both bars, however, the strawberry bar seemed a little sweet for my taste. The blueberry, however, was perfect. We especially enjoyed the crispy bottom layer. It was very unexpected since it felt like it was going to be a soft bar all the way through.

These bars are called ‘breakfast bars’ and are great for a breakfast on the go. However, we grabbed them as a snack with a nice cup of tea. What a nice change of pace and much healthier than grabbing a few cookies.

The following information was provided regarding the bars:

Eating a wholesome breakfast is an important way to start each day, but the clock and ever-changing morning to-do lists seem to conspire against busy adults, leaving them feeling unprepared to take on the challenges of the morning ahead. The healthy, on-the-go Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars are made with a hearty combination of protein, real fruit and whole grains to help busy adults thrive, not just survive the whole morning.

Each bar contains 4 grams of protein and a hearty combination of real fruit and whole grains.

Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars are available in Country Strawberry and Blueberry Bliss.

Available at most retailers in Mesa; Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars are sold in boxes of five for a suggested retail price of $3.59.
