Non-Stop is riveting and intense

On a day like any other, Bill Marks boards a non-stop flight to England, in order to perform his duty as a Federal Air Marshall. As Bill settles in for another tedious and often uncomfortable trip across the pond, a text from an anonymous passenger threatens to kill one of the flight's 150 passengers, every 20 minutes, unless 150 million dollars are deposited into an account. When Bill attempts to confirm the validity of the threat, an ever increasing number of coincidental and incriminating events begin to implicate Bill as the only threat onboard. With a growing number of fatalities, tension, and threats, Bill must find the real threat and clear his name, before they all die.

"Non-Stop" is an intense nail biter, starring Liam Neeson (Bill Marks) and Julianne Moore (Jen Summers). Somehow, no matter how many of these mid-winter action sleepers show up, as long as Neeson plays the lead, what may not have worked with any other actor does. Besides coming across as genuine, Neeson's presence and stature comes across as imposing and unpredictable. One moment, he's returning a lost doll and coaxing a frightened girl onto her flight, then suddenly he's cracking necks in a close combat struggle in an economy class lavatory. Despite these chameleon-like shifts in persona, it difficult not to feel sorry for Bill when his efforts are misunderstood and misconstrued by his employers on the ground and the people he's trying to save. Neeson is great and has never failed to impress, even back in his early days as "Darkman." And of course, even the darkest tale shines a little brighter when Julianne Moore lends her talents to its telling. If you're up for a minor mind bend, as the story unravels a complex mystery, "Non-Stop" is definitely worth the time and the price of admission.
