NOFX with Lagwagon and Old Man Markley play a sold out concert at the Majestic

Friday night NOFX, Lagwagon and Old Man Markley performed at the Majestic Ventura Theatre. The three different yet complimentary bands played an energizing sold out concert.  The show attracted all ages, from young punk kids to aged veterans of rock.  Their next stop? The Los Angeles House of Blues on Saturday, January 14th 2012.

The Show

The theatre was full by 9PM for the tours opening band Old Man Markley.   This bluegrass, seven piece ensemble has incredible energy on stage and provides a complimentary sound to the punk rock headliners, NOFX and Lagwagon.  The venue filled in even more when underground success Lagwagon took the stage.  These Santa Barbara natives surprised the audience by bringing out the bands original guitarist, Shawn Dewey, to wrap up the set.  After these two successful performances it was hard to believe the night could become more entertaining but headliners NOFX got the job done.  True to their style, the punk rock band played a long set list of short songs while the crowd went wild. Shoes, tshirts and ice were flying through the crowd as concert goers danced and moshed.  Even a bra was thrown through the crowd making its way onto the stage and eventually worn by one of the band members.  To wrap up the night Old Man Markley was invited back on stage to play some final tunes with NOFX.
