I had an email from Outback Steakhouse, which had their 'No worry Wednesday' offer. It comprises of a soup, or salad, an Aussie-Tizer or dessert to share, and 2 entrees. They have a $25, or a $35 option. I phoned ahead to make sure that it was available at our nearest location before heading out.
We arrived at the Trinity location, were greeted, seated, and given menus. We had 5 entrees to choose from. Our server came immediately, and Len had diet coke, and I had water with lemon.
We ordered potato soup, small Aussie cheese fries, steak for Len, and pork tenderloin for me. Our server said he would have to check that the pork was ready. I told him that this is the reason I always come back, and would be really disappointed if I couldn't have it.
To cut a long story short, it wasn't available. The Manager came out and explained to me the reason, and I said that even if the food is good, it just won't be the same. The Owner came out and offered me the pork tenderloin grilled, which made me extremely happy.
Our cheese fries came out first, and were really hot, and good. Next was our soups, and they were tasty as they had bacon, and onions on top.
Len sirloin was tender, and he had garlic mash with it. My pork could be cut with a fork. I did get garlic mash instead of the sweet potato I ordered, but after asking for it, I got the potato almost immediately.
The food was, and always is of a high standard.
Both the Manager, and the Owner checked on us throughout the meal.
When the bill came I had been charged for the 2 cups of soup. I didn't want to make waves at this point so paid the bill with my credit card. Once I got home I phoned the Outback, and the Owner answered. I told him of the discrepancy on the bill, and he said that it was his fault as he had keyed it in. The $5.98 was credited back to my credit card.
