A month ago you were introduced to the No Nonsense Attache Bag from Duluth Trading Company (DTC). This bag, like every DTC product tested for this column, looked very promising from the get-go. The following is what I found out about the bag after living with it for the past month.
While it may have seemed like a mixed message, stating that the bag was both slim and generous, it really is. When empty, the No Nonsense Attache Bag is about an inch and a half deep. Despite this, the bag easily gobbles up a rather thick and heavy Dell laptop with no problem and still has plenty of room for a tablet, portable power bank, a couple Moleskine notebooks, and more 8.5 x 11” paper than you’d really ever want to carry around. So, yes, it is small on the outside and big on the inside.
The full-grain cowhide of which this bag is made is the kind that looks and feels better as it gets battered by real world use. Over the last month, the slightest bit of patina has begun to develop, and I’d imagine that this process will continue throughout the life of the bag. The end result will be a personal accessory with an appearance that will be unique to its owner. This is the beauty of soft, full-grain leather.
If you are looking for a great gift for the grad or dad in your life, the No Nonsense Attache Bag certainly fits the bill. It is a handsome, instant classic that is built to last. For more information or to make a purchase, click here.
