After twenty years a very special anniversary version of In Utero has been released. This Deluxe Edition will feature over 40 different versions of the track titles we all know and love. I must say, listening to the demo version of 'All Apologies' can give a music lover goosebumps. Their feel and sound was unmatched in their time. Pioneers of a new age in rock.
This album features new remastered versions of various songs including the original mixes from the old album. It even includes a Jam Session that was recorded. The vibes of this album will sure give you that nostalgic feel. There is also word of a "Super Deluxe Version" available that will include about 70 various B-sides and demos never heard before, including a DVD.
The DVD is suppose to include live footage of the recording of the album including live perfomances from the band.
Lets go over a little history of the original record itself. In Utero orginally was released in September of '93, only later to be released in April of '94. As most of Nirvana's work it became pretty popular.
This album was acritically claimed to be the most famous drafts for a suicide note of a legend. This new version steers us away from those possibilities and gives us a look at a band merely starting a new phase in their careers. The remastered versions of these tracks are clean-cut mixes any trained ear of music and sound production will appreciate.
This album is better listened to than described. There aren't many words that can describe the intensity of this reissue. As mentioned there are unique and rare versions of various tracks available on this record. Even a Jam session. I give this a no brainer, Five out of Five.
