The Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden Concert at the Shoreline Ampitheatre.

On Sunday, August 24 Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails stopped on their current co-headlining North American tour to play a show at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View. The two alternative rock groups who rose to fame in the 1990s and even released their biggest and most well known albums on the same day in 1994 (Nine Inch Nails’ Downward Spiral and Soundgarden’s Superunknown), played an amazing set of songs that spanned their remarkably impressive careers.

Soundgarden went first with Chris Cornell sounding great as usual and performing like the consummate pro that he is. The band looked like they were having a good time while rousing visuals were projected onto the back of the stage that synced with the music they were playing. Trent Reznor and the rest of the Nine Inch Nails put on an incredible show playing with great intensity and leaving nothing on the stage. The lights, production, colors and images blasting from the stage and throughout the Nine Inch Nails’ show made the powerful performance something to really experience rather than just observe.
