Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Good, The Bad, and The Casey Jones

While there is a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming new live action take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Nickelodeon series that debuted in 2012 is still bringing the action packed radical fun like only they can. In season 2 they finally brought in everybody’s favorite sports themed vigilante Casey Jones into the mix making it feel even more like it should.

If for some reason you have missed out on the latest incarnations of the hero’s in a half shell the second season of the series had the turtles dealing with accidentally dropping a Kraang shipment of mutagen canisters all over NYC. This becomes their ongoing goal throughout the season to recover the canisters before more mutants can be created. As if that wasn’t, the Kraang and Shredder have united to put an end to the Turtles once and for all, but with Casey's help, the Turtles work to fight the bad guys all the while trying to unravel the mystery regarding April O'Neil and her importance to the Kraang. This series not only has a classic feel, but brings something new to the table. The animation is awesome and works perfectly for these characters. The personalities are all spot on and keeps the world that the fans want the way it was meant to be while still bringing some new ideas and designs to it all. The voice cast are all great including Jason Biggs, Sean Astin, Greg Cipes, Rob Paulsen, Josh Peck, and Kevin Michael Richardson and while its not necessarily a selling point for an entire series sports a great catchy opening theme song that brings the original series song together with a modern rap twist that fans will no doubt have stuck in their head for quite some time.

Now fans can bring some of their favorite episodes home featuring Casey Jones with the latest DVD release “The Good, The Bad, and Casey Jones”. While this season introduced the fan favorite Casey Jones it also marks the final season of Jason Biggs voicing Leonardo making that much more of a must have. This DVD not only features six episodes from season 2, but also numerous special features including “Meet Casey Jones’ and six shorts “The Mutation of a Scene” taking the fun of the this series to a whole new level.
