New Music for February 2012

Hi everyone, welcome to February!

New music that has come out to start the month comes from a mixture of artists from hip hop to house to dub-step.

First up, I'd like to give a shout out to a local DJ, DJ Cheapshot (Fort Minor, Styles of Beyond), because he just released a remix of a favorite 90's classic hip hop cut "I Wish" by Skee-Lo. It has a real cool bouncy vibe to the new track and it slides right in with Skee-Lo's flow. You should check it out on SoundCloud.com and let me know what you think.

I am really feeling Young Jeezy's new one titled "I Do" that features Jay-Z and Andre 3000. This should do well on radio and in the club. Good cut to start the month.

Next, Tinie Tempah rocks a new cut featuring Big Sean titled "Lucky". This one is another hot radio/club banger and is already getting heavy rotation play locally on Power 106.

I am also rocking out to dub-step master Skrillex's new joint called "First of the Year, Equinox". This one I heard on YouTube first  by watching a video of a guy lip-singing to it. The track is another killer from Skrillex who is really building a name for himself.

And lastly, if you are looking for a cool spot in the San Fernando Valley to hear these songs along with all of your favorite hip-hop, rock, Top 40, and house music, come and check out myself (DJ 3rd Degree) along with world-famous DJ Kryptonite (Power 106, Bum Squad DJs) every Friday night at The Corner Club in Woodland Hills. Come check us out!

Until next week, keep rocking out and living life!
