Post cereals is introducing a new cereal to the Honey Bunches of Oats family called Morning Energy. These varieties have amped up protein content (6 grams per serving), plus a source of whole grains and fiber too. They are hitting shelves later this month and come in two flavors – Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolatey Almond Crunch. Many people like to start the new year with a plan to be healthier. Eating this high fiber whole grain cereal with protein content is a great way to kick off the morning and put that plan into action. It's not low in sugar, nor is it overly sweet, but consumed with fat free milk this morning energy cereal is just 260 calories. This cereal can both satisfy and help to reduce mid-morning hunger.

The first, Morning Energy Mocha Power Balls, combine Chocolatey Almond Crunch with walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds, maple syrup, cranberries and espresso powder in a energizing morning fix you can take on the road. This recipe is also good for the Super Bowl and warding off the 3rd quarter slump! The second, Cinnamon Breakfast Squares with Yogurt and Berries, uses Cinnamon Crunch to create breakfast squares and tops it with Greek yogurt to amp up the protein factor even more.
