Network After Work Launches in Nashville

Network after Work launched its first event in Nashville. Already hosting networking events for business professionals in 28 cities, they are looking to Nashville help bring them to their goal of 50 cities in 2013. The event was hosted by McFadden’s on 2nd Ave, which is exactly Network after Work’s MO, setting up in local night life spots to create a fun, hip vibe. The 150 plus business professionals in attendance all wore name tags color coded by industry, which made it very clear to see how diverse the event was. The louder, darker bar atmosphere created close quarters and encouraged quick and friendly conversations. Not the environment for conducting business or in depth conversations. But a great spring board for meeting new faces and giving you contacts to follow up. The majority of the people I talked to received their invite through LinkedIn, which seemed very effective. I give it 4 stars.
