"Barracuda" is a film about a small town that's waters are filled with barracudas. In reality the film is nothing really about these dangerous barracuda's it's more about a cover-up, a political conspiracy thriller believe it or not but it's quite unsuccessful on anyway it was trying to be.
The first half isn't a bad movie but then it turns less into a horror film about barracudas and more into a boring film about a nearby plant that is doing illegals things. The acting is mediocre at best.
Basically if you are thinking this is going to be a film in the sense of the other films during the 70s about man vs. nature, well it's not. The ending is really stupid by the way. It's an unsatisfying movie and it has a very muddle plot. There is a campy then there is something on the lines of this movie!
It's kind of a let down and because whatever the film was trying to sway just didn't do it successful. If it just went one way in the plot, it would have been decent. It's not a horror film really and the title "Barracuda," is misleading. Sure you do see some attacks but it's not the barracudas that our main character cares about!
So overall this film was a dud, bad acting, bad plot, and it's a bore. It's a 1 out 5 star movie. Just watch "River Monsters," it's more intense!
