Nero’s Chophouse & Sushi Bar is your best choice for an Atlantic City eatery any time you choose to visit. However, if you’re in the neighborhood on Sunday, stop in for brunch. I can pretty much guarantee you that Nero’s Brunch is an experience unlike any other you’ve had before. Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying Nero’s Brunch as a guest of Caesars Entertainment.
We've been coming to Nero’s for a few years now. One of the best things about Nero’s is you’re instantly among old friends. No, not your old friends, but the same warm friendly faces greet you. The room doesn't change hands much. And once you've been there a time or two, you are a friend. You’ll soon be waving to Roger, Donna, Nick and many of the other fine servers and staff who always make your experience at Nero’s memorable.
We were shown to an excellent table on the ocean side by Gourmet Restaurant Manager Betty McHugh. Betty is one of the reasons that Nero’s is what it is. She’s hard to talk to for any length of time, though. She’s constantly on the move, making sure that everything is perfect for every single guest.
The main dining room at Nero’s offers spectacular ocean views. There is also another elegant dining room behind that one and a private dining room in the back. The private dining room has been busy, according to Betty, with parties, graduations and the like. If you have a special occasion coming up, give Betty a call. Holding it at Nero’s Chophouse & Sushi Bar will make it even more special.
But as much as we love the ocean, the elegance and the superb service, what you come to a gourmet room for is the food. You’ll find plenty of it and all of it excellent. It’s Nero’s Brunch so you can get eggs, bagels, breakfast meats and fresh fruit. But brunch means meats, too. There is a spectacular carving station plus row upon row of chafing dishes with many specialties, such as Lobster Fra Diavolo. There’s a custom omelet station manned by Chef Matt and a Sushi Bar. There are sides galore and, if you still have room for dessert, you won’t be disappointed.
One thing Nero’s Brunch has that I haven’t found anywhere else is Chef Son Ngo and her crepe station. This talented chef makes paper thin crepes right in front of you. She then fills and tops them with whatever you would like. You can have one as part of your main meal or as dessert. Either way, they are scrumptious!
There is a full bar at Nero’s with fine wines, beer and custom drinks. We had Mimosas with brunch, which were excellent. The coffee is good, too. It’s not your run-of-the-mill restaurant coffee, but a really good coffee with a nice aroma and flavor.
Nero’s Chophouse & Sushi Bar, in case you've never been there, is conveniently located at Caesars Atlantic City, right in the center of the Boardwalk.
