Nate's Meatless Meatballs

For a quick, great-tasting, vegan "meatball," look no farther than Nate's Meatless Meatballs. With a selection of flavors including Classic, Zesty Italian, and Savory Mushroom, it's easy to perfectly customize a dish or just enjoy straight up!

Made primarily from soy and breadcrumbs, the meatballs are packaged fully cooked, but frozen, making them great to keep on hand for last minute additions or as stand-alone appetizers. Quickly cook them in the microwave or add to a sauce on the stovetop.

The texture is firm and very similar to a real meatball, setting Nate's Meatless Meatballs apart from other lower quality vegetarian and vegan options that tend to crumble after cooking. Although the meatballs can get a little dry, a good sauce is a simple remedy.

For a very easy vegetarian meal, try this:

Creamy Italian Shells and Nate's Meatless Meatballs with Carmelized Onions

1 package of Knorr Italian Sides, Creamy Garlic Shells
1/2 package of Nate's Meatless Meatballs, Zesty Italian
1/4 cup chopped yellow onion
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 tsp brown sugar

Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Microwave Nate's Meatless Meatballs on a microwave-safe plate according to package instructions. Add the meatballs to the pasta during last stage of cooking and stir to thoroughly coat meatballs with sauce. Add salt and/or pepper as desired. Remove pasta from heat and let sit.

In a pan, add olive oil and butter/margarine and heat over low heat until melted. Add chopped onion and sautee over low heat for several minutes. Once onions begin to become clear, add brown sugar and stir thoroughly. Cook down until onions begin to carmelize and turn light brown in color.

Serve pasta with meatballs and top with carmelized onions. Pair with a fresh green salad or sliced tomato and basil.
