Nara Sushi & Korean Kitchen, located at 2800 Kirby Drive #100 inside the West Ave. shopping complex, offers an exciting array of Korean and Japanese cuisines.
Donald Chang, Executive Chef and Owner of Nara, has worked over twenty-three years in the restaurant industry, and has an impressive resume to boast. With prior experience at Uptown Sushi, Bluefin, The Fish, and the first Nara that Mr. Chang opened at only twenty-six years old, Nara's Executive Chef has created a daring and impressive menu, coupled with a unique dining experience. It is apparent that Mr. Chang's apprenticeship at Miyako Japanese Restaurant, while training under Japanese Master Chef Shoichi Ikeda, has undeniably paid off years later. Fortunately, Houstonians can now experience and explore new concepts in traditional and modern cuisine at Nara.
Nara's Sunday hours have recently changed to dinner dining from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you were lucky enough to follow Nara on Facebook, you would have been able to order a complimentary appetizer on the first Sunday of the month, July 6th. Although this special will not holdover into August, you can still follow Nara on Facebook in order to take advantage of future offers.
With menu options ranging from grilled flap buns, Kobe sliders, hot stone vegetable rice bowls, and Korean hot rock grilled organic chicken and Kobe short ribs and rib eyes, Nara offers cuisine guaranteed to satiate the palate, as well as a fun and entertaining dining experience. Grill your own organic chicken on a hot stone block or watch the chefs prepare your cuisine from the comfort of your own seat.
