I've been keeping a secret. Murphy's Pub House is a great little restaurant and sports bar in the Geist area, that I have been keeping all to myself! I hesitated to even write a review about Murphy's for fear that my secret would be exposed. Murphy's is a perfect local pub with friendly faces and recipes for fun!

For years, I have been trying to find my own version of Cheers, where everybody knows your name and you are greeted with a friendly smile and an order of "the usual". I finally found Murphy's!

We showed up with a group of 9 people last weekend to watch the Colts playoff game. The place was packed, and we were welcomed with a smile and a can do attitude by the hostess. Even when extra people wanted to squeeze into our table, the manager was so accommodating and, here's the kicker: FRIENDLY!

Murphy's is tucked in a less than glamorous strip next to Kroger on Olio Rd, but inside it is a cozy and fun place. I won't overstate it, it's not fancy or modern. It's just a good old fashioned neighborhood pub, with awesome bar food, great drinks and great people.

There are TVs throughout the bar and restaurant so you will never miss your favorite sporting event. A perfect place to gather a few friends and cheer for your team.

The menu features appetizers, steaks, burgers, pizzas, wings and salads. Whether you want to go a little on the lighter side or full on bar food extravaganza, Murphy's has got you covered.

I had the black and bleu burger topped with bacon and blue cheese and served with a side of fries. Awesome taste and perfectly crunchy fries.

Daily specials at the bar, make for good deals and happy customers. Half priced wine bottles on Wednesday nights are a personal favorite. You can't beat $2 drafts for Sunday game day.

Check out Murphy's Pub House for yourself and you won't be disappointed. But don't tell anyone....and save me a seat.
