In the year 2077 a group of condemned terrorists avoid their punishment by escaping through time into the past. What they didn't count on was accidentally taking police officer Kiera with them. Struggling to get back home, Kiera knows that first she must deal with the terrorists to avoid them changing the future.

Rachel Nichols (Kiera), Victor Webster (Carlos), Erik Knudsen (Alec), Stephen Lobo (Matthew), Jennifer Spence (Betty), Lexa Doig (Sonya), Omari Newton (Lucas), Roger Cross (Travis), Luvia Peterson (Jasmine), Hugh Dillon (Escher).

Season 2 of Continuum continues to build on Kiera's struggle to fix the timeline and get home, despite Liber8's desire to change the timeline and destroy her. The intertwining of time and characters continues this season with what feels like most of the characters being revealed as time manipulators in some way. The close calls Kiera experiences seem to become more intense as well, yet she routinely escapes with barely a scratch. Though drama is increased a lot this season, the time-travel element is still fairly strong as is the reliance on technology in the plot.

Acting was decent enough though Nichols still felt a bit wooden at times. Webster has continued to grow as an actor and now feels somewhat underused. Knudsen, Newton, and Amendola all did nicely as did the remainder of the supporting cast.

Camera work, sets, and backgrounds were all good and had a nice quality feel. Effects, both physical and CGI, were well done and added good balance to the series. Dialogue was good and helped explain quite a bit. Sound and soundtrack were both solid.

Overall Continuum continues to be an interesting series and this season does a bit better at building energy and suspense. Time-travel and sci-fi fans will enjoy this the most. Drama fans might find the series somewhat interesting as well.

With some violence this should be fine for teens and above.
