After a long break from live shows, Mouth made their return to the stage with a special show at the Bottleneck Saturday night! All the party people of Lawrence came together for a funky rager that lasted all night.
The talented young band 3 Son Green got the party started with their dynamic jams. These guys are always throwing down dance-able, intricate tunes that captivate the crowd. A full dance floor rocked out to the opener with more listeners packing all the seats in the bar. By the time 3 Son Green left the stage, the audience was warmed up and then some.
For Mouth's set guitarist Jamie from 3 Son Green played along with Zach and Gunner. Mouths' usual guitarist Matt was away in Colorado, but that did not stop the band from raging with a great, funky set. Bayley from Ashes to Immortality sang with the band for a fantastic cover of a Daft Punk song that made the crowd go wild. Mouth usually does not have a vocalist but this was a nice occasion featuring a lovely voice. To wrap it all up the rest of the guys from 3 Son Green for an epic finale.
The jams do not get much more funky than when 3 Son Green and Mouth are on the same stage. Mouth is one of those great, fun bands that everyone loves and it does the heart good to see them back again. Lawrence and KC have some ragers to look forward to!
