On Thursday, April 17, 2014, two of some of the most renowned bands, Motorhead and Megadeth, came together for a monolithic performance at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. As the doors opened to the general admission show, fans rushed in all donning both Megadeth and Motorhead shirt, which still didn't slow down the merchandise sales.
The crowd was ready to start the night off with the legendary British metal supergroup, Motorhead. Singer, Lemmy Kilmister, came onto the stage, greeted the crowd and got right to performing 'Damage Case.' Considering Lemmy's heath, they take the songs one by one, but the crowd, loving and appreciating every moment cheer him on. Further down the set list, guitarist Phil Campbell, performs a powerful solo during 'Over the Top.' Followed later on with 'Doctor Rock,' where drummer Mikkey Dee performs a solid and powerful drum solo. Their hour long set concluded with the very popular 'Ace of Spades' and 'Overkill.' Motorhead thanked the crowd, leaving the fans grateful but still asking for more.
For the next set, Megadeth enters the stage majestically and immediately begin to perform 'Hangar 18.' The crowd roars with excitement and signing along to the words. Singer, Dave Mustaine interacts with his famous Dean V Guitars performing his popular solos along with lead guitarist Chris Broderick trading off in the different sections of the stage. Bassist David Ellefson also took his turn coming up front banging out those bass notes cheering along with the crowd. Nearly all hits were performed including 'Kingmaker,' 'Symphony of Destruction,' and en encore of 'Holy Wars.'
Motorhead has a few European dates schedules this summer and is part of a cruise this fall called Motorboat and Megadeth is continuing their tour in South America where dates can be found on their websites.
