Machete Kills - 10/11/2013
There are some actors in the industry that are in a ton of films in either small roles or small and large roles. Danny Trejo is one of those actors that you can remember from just about any movie. From “Heat” to “Sons of Anarchy” Danny Trejo has been in just about everything and when I heard he was coming back as Machete I got pretty excited.
“Machete Kills” starts off with a preview for “Machete Kills Again…In Space” where he’s fighting with machetes that look like light sabers and cheesy space jet packs. Then we jump right into the movie where Machete and Sartana are keeping up the good fight. They find out the US Military are supplying guns to the cartel but during the transaction another group of people show up in what can only be described as black spider-man masks and wipe out everyone including Sartana. Machete is asked by the President of the United States to go down and get the missile from the cartel that is pointed at Washington DC.
For those that aren’t into grind house type movies then please stay away. There is gratuitous violence, some profanity but zero nakedness. If you liked the first “Machete” movie then you will not be disappointed in “Machete Kills”. Remember what you saw at the beginning of the movie with “Machete Kills Again…In Space” because that is how the “Machete Kills” ends, with the start of the preview.
There are tons of new editions to the movie like Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Antonio Banderas and Cuba Gooding Jr. Overall, I do recommend this movie if you like “Machete” or Robert Rodriguez.
