It's summer time, and the weather is hot and dry, and so is your skin. I am currently obsessed with Monoi Tiki Tahiti oil. What is Monoi Oil? Monoi Oil is a coconut oil that is infused with Tahitian Gardenia flowers by soaking the flower's petals in the oil. I have the scent vanilla, and let me be honest, I usually hate sweet scents and most vanilla scents give me a headache, or smell like something your Grandma would wear. Not this. It is a perfectly light fragrance that smells warm, sweet but not too sweet, kind of marshmallowy, and just overall amazing. Not only does it smell delicious but it is the perfect oil for dry skin. You can even apply a small amount in your hair for extra shine, or add more for a deep conditioner, or even before swimming in chlorine and salt water to protect your hair from drying out. Add a little to your bath water for extra moisture and the heavenly scent. Have I mentioned enough how good this smells? Seriously, I opened the bottle at least 7 times while writing this to smell it again- it is addicting. The best part is that it is mainly scented coconut oil with a Gardenia flower floating inside, so you know that you are not putting harsh chemicals and additives onto your skin. The oil is also sold in the scents; Tiare, Ylang Ylang, Coconut, Sandalwood, and Pitate. I have yet to try the other scents besides Vanilla, but once I run out I will be purchasing more and trying them all!
I purchased mine from VitaCost.com but it can be found at many stores online and at your local health food store. I give this product 5/5 stars.
Have you tried Monoi Oil? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
