Moms' Night Out, superb comedy

Moms' Night Out

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Moms’ Night Out, a brilliant comedy, opens in theaters on May 9th. And if you’re a parent or have children in your life, or just enjoy a good guffaw, you won’t want to miss this movie. It has all the elements of belly-aching hilarity with a whopping dose of ouch-that-hits-home.

Allyson, young mom of three boisterous children, is frazzled. And so are some of her mommy-girlfriends. If they could just enjoy a long-awaited night out together – without the children – that could be the very pick-me-up they need. And if the husbands could just watch the kids for a few hours – what could be so hard about that? – then maybe they could have some fun and rekindle their sanity. A simple plan—or so they thought…

But from a stolen car to a lost baby – and lots of other nerve-racking scenarios – things go terribly wrong.

Hilarious and fast-paced, and starring a top-notch crew of talent—including America’s favorite TV mom and Emmy Award ® winner, Patricia Heaton (The Middle, Everyone Loves Raymond), Sarah Drew (Grey’s Anatomy), Sean Astin (The Lord of The Rings, Rudy) and platinum-selling country music artist Trace Adkins (Lincoln Lawyer)—Moms’ Night Out is entertainment at its best. It brings faith-oriented movies to another level.

Faith-based films are making an undeniable impact. Just a third-way through 2014 these inspirational releases of every genre have already grossed more than $230 million in domestic box office. Those stats are hard to ignore.

Presented by TriStar Pictures (a Sony Pictures Entertainment company), Moms’ Night Out is in good company—TriStar were also behind Courageous, Soul Surfer and Heaven is For Real.

Heaton, who plays the pastor’s wife, together with her husband, David Hunt, who plays the cabbie, are co-executive-producers of Moms’ Night Out together. Says Heaton, "Every mom and dad in America–whether they have toddlers, tweens or teens–is going to love this movie. It's a hilarious family-friendly celebration of the trials and triumphs of parenting–a joyous affirmation of the world's hardest but most important job."

Yep, Patricia Heaton, you got it right. Moms’ Night Out is a winner.
