Mitra Rahba, persian mystic and musical healer

Although the holiday season is upon us and many are celebrating, we are still living in uncertain times. From climate change to extreme weather, economic crises it seems as though countless other issues hit us square in the face every day.

After a recent personal crises, Mitra Rahbar was recommended to me as an energetic healer who would shine a light on what was happening and why. She helped me through the passage from dark to light. The healing was instant. It felt as if she was surrounded by energies that created a feeling of comfort the minute I stepped into her sacred space.

We had never met before and yet it felt as if she knew me, like a highly respected family member. It felt as if I knew her, too. She has the wisdom of the sages and a gift that enabled me to move through the crises on a daily basis. I recorded our session and listened to her melodic voice day by day, sometimes several times in a day. Her reading was my touchstone. I needed an anchor to ground myself amidst the personal tsunami that was overturning my whole existence. She gave me a personal message, just for me.

After our session, she shared a bit about her personal journey. Her awakening to her gift began at a very young age. When a stranger knocked at her door unannounced, her family found out he was one of six brothers who were visionaries, and the most gifted priest was deaf and dumb. The priest predicted that the seven year old child, Mitra Rahbar, had the gift. As a playful tomboy, Rahbar was just a regular child. He said, “all over the world people will come to her.”

From that day, Rahbar has developed her intuitive spiritual services knowing that it was her purpose in life and by the age of eleven she was on her way to becoming a gifted healer sought out by luminaries from all over the world. At seventeen, she traveled across the world. The revolution began in Iran and Rahbar left her family to study in the United States. As a ‘lost immigrant’ she felt a strong calling to go back to Iran. Her desire was to give back. The foundation of her life’s work is based on three pillars: Devotion to spiritual enlightenment, social service, and artistry. Although they were fragmented, as she matured she was able to blend each of these. Another gift emerged, mediumship. Her gift to share these pillars is present in her workshops, blessing ceremonies, weddings, and funerals. She has created a niche, and was the first woman to perform and sing at the Persian mosque.

“How I see myself, it’s not that I’m special, my life is not about me. I just knew my life is not about me."

She still has a yearning to be back in her beloved country, after leaving her family. She has a calling to be of service to all beings in need, but especially women. All of her experiences have developed a huge level of compassion. Now she spends part of her year back in Iran.

Her name says it all: Mitra is the goddess of light and Rahbar is leader Now she is passing her teachings onto others, and does about ten percent readings. Rahbar was sent an abundance of clients for decades and then she developed more of her spiritual side to teach and felt she can best serve by giving people the tools they need to help themselves.

In addition she has discovered another gift, her music, as well as becoming an author which has enabled her to travel the globe sharing her gifts. As a student of many cultures, Rahbar blends Persian, Afghan and Indian influences with a touch of Spanish guitar. Her music was used in a few movies, such as Spartacus, The Olive Harvest and Shanghai Mystery. She has also performed with Sheryl Crow as well as other world musicians and dancers.

Her gifts are experienced by many A-List Stars (and power couples) including spiritual leaders. Rahbar has also sung at special events such as the UN, with Hilary Clinton, Dennis Kucinich and Nobel Prize recipients.

As a peace advocate, she has spoken and sung at many notable causes and events, including organizations in the Middle East to bring forth awareness and education to young women, as well as adoptive parents. Rahbar works with young women who have had a difficult plight, runaways, in Iran, as well as the orphanages(helping create library and mentoring program)

Rahbar is becoming well known in a global way that touches people, from performing wedding ceremonies, funerals, helping people cross-over to prayers for women bringing forth a baby, blessing women (she gives it all to charity) and speaking in workshops and centers.

One of her clients said, “She transcends linguistic barriers” and takes the soul to a place of awakening, to the seat of your soul in a place of nurture and light. She works through spirit, it is beyond music that feeds the soul. Everything is the energy God and light. Where there’s light there is also darkness. Rahbar helps her clients move beyond the negative and into the light.

“Spirituality is not a fad, it is a forever journey.” Mitraisms

“Healer and master intuitive....teacher to thousands.....songstress and poet of the language of the soul...Mitra is here to bring forth teachings, awareness, and joy of spirit.”

It has been a couple of months since we first met and many of the things in my life have begun to shift. I am still not feeling on solid, steady ground, but she said by the end of February my life will be forever changed for the better and I will be walking in new shoes. (I’m looking forward to shopping the sales after Christmas to find my new pair.) I am eternally grateful to have met such a refined and lovely lady. She has the grace of royalty, the heart of compassion and the soul of a highly gifted healer.
