Miss Shirley’s Café puts the charm in Charm City’s cuisine

Charm City, also known as Baltimore, Maryland is widely known for their crab legs, crab cakes, and seafood cuisines. The thought of brunch may not cross the mind of many Marylanders or visitors but they’ve probably never eaten at Miss Shirley's Cafe.

Miss Shirley's Café has three distinct locations in the Baltimore area which include Roland Park, Inner Harbor, and Annapolis and all of them offer the experience of a home cooked meal. The menu's flair for "grandma's" kitchen and Baltimore's famous crab taste transcends in every bite from the Benne Seed Chicken 'N Waffles to Baltimore's favorite shellfish which is used to make an excellent Crab Cake & Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benedict.

Miss Shirley's is usually a packed during the hours of brunch, please get there before 3 p.m., or you will miss the opportunity to enjoy these delicious vittles. The trip is definitely worth the high gas prices if you live in the DC Metro area.

In addition to the pleasant dining experience, Miss Shirley's Café has a unique background. Miss Shirley McDowell is a chef with 30 years of experience; she started her career at the Beef Inn where she crafted handmade burgers by hand. Throughout her experiences she’s created love and passion through food and touched many people along the way. Miss Shirley passed away in 2001 but her legacy and charm still reigns in the café.
