For more than a century, local company Red Wing Shoes has been creating some outstanding work boots with a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and an authentically American sensibility, right here in Minnesota. Located just south of the Twin Cities in the Mississippi River town from which it takes it's name, Red Wing Shoes has come a long way. Originally designed for farmers, miners and loggers, the company has continued to build on it's considerable history and proven that it remains a relevant force in men's style without compromising function.
Having launched a successful partnership with J.Crew as a stylish but useable option for men's boots, Red Wing Shoes has recently announced a new line up of work boots to their Irish Setter division. Seeking to combine form with functionality, these collection of 29 new styles offer a modern and athletically-inspired crop of new boots for the "modern craftsman."
In their press release, Red Wing Shoes notes that this line features:
"job-ready features that skilled tradesmen demand, such as soft toe and steel or aluminum safety toe styles; Goodyear welt, direct attach or cement construction options; UltraDryTM waterproofing; ThinsulateTM insulation; and, CuShin Comfort Tongue padding."
The line-up features plenty of styles, and versatility within each style. Need a protective toe cap on your boot? That's available. Prefer an 8" to 6" boot shaft? They've got you covered.
Irish Setter work boots are available at Red Wing Shoes stores, online at www.irishsetterboots.com, and in many work, farm, and outdoor stores. Styles range from $110-$210 MSRP. Check out the attached slideshow to see some of the styles up-close and personal.
