For an invigorating scrub that you can use all over, Philosophy's Candy Cane body scrub is the best product you can buy. Good luck finding it, though--it was available on Philosophy.com (in their after-Christmas sale) for a split second, and now it's in the Clearance section of QVC.com. If it's being sold anywhere else, well, it's just not easy to find, and that's truly a shame--the scent, texture, and overall effectiveness of this product are unparalleled.
Did Philosophy crush up candy canes for this scrub? It sure seems like it; the scent is dead-on. It doesn't smell fake or saccharine--Candy Cane body scrub smells like when you suck on a candy cane as you walk through the season's first snowfall on a crisp, clear December night.
The texture of the scrub is like icy, crystallized snow. It isn't a rough or abrasive scrub, and it doesn't have to be--the peppermint oil penetrates the skin deeply, and pairing that intense oil with a less intense scrub works well. You can use the scrub from nose to toes--even on your face, it isn't overly harsh. (A note of caution: don't get the scrub too close to your eyes; the strong peppermint scent may make sensitive eyes water!)
Once you gently scrub your face with Candy Cane and then wash the product off, you'll feel the difference immediately. You'll glow from within (sounds cheesy, but it's true!), and your cheeks will feel like they've just been kissed by Old Man--no, Studly Prince Winter!
Candy Cane is useful if you want to smooth out rough skin on your elbows or winter-weathered feet. And if, just for the fun of it, you rub a little on your wet belly while you're in the bathtub, I dare you not to smile!
Philosophy's Candy Cane body scrub is a winter-scented winner. Get yours before it's gone--better yet, buy two! You won't regret it.
