Julie Garwood’s book takes place in the bayous of Louisiana. Theo Buchanan and Michelle Renard meet when Theo gets acute appendicitis and Michelle operates on him. While Theo is in recovery, Michelle tells him of her hometown and the health clinic she has started. Theo is intrigued by Michelle and her passion for her work. When he follows her home, he finds her clinic is destroyed. Now he has to find Michelle’s stalker, coach the high school football team, win a fishing tournament, and win over Michelle. Garwood has crafted yet another romantic page-turner.
This was a great addition to the modern Buchanan series.
