Zac Posen is definitely making a long lasting name for himself in the fashion world. From Project Runway to designing a more affordable line, he is finding ways to remain a powerful force in the fashion industry. His latest Fall 2013 Ready to Wear collection is just one more reason to keep singing his praises.
Posen debuted his Fall 2013 Ready to Wear collection Sunday at New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and it was quite delightful. He strayed away from his signature evening gowns, and focused more on seperates. Posen strategically used the peplum style as an outerwear piece instead of just a basic top, making for a very interesting remix of the style. Peplums were definitely a major force in this collection, in beautiful colors. Military green, wine, bright orange, chocolate, and many more beautiful bold colors graced the collection in elegant suit seperates.Posen also kept with his great attention to detail, by incorporating embroidery and origami strategically into his pieces.
Although the gowns weren't the main focus of this collection, Posen didn't forget about them, as beautiful gowns in bold orange, berry, brown, yellow, and lavender were showcased. The gowns contained asymmetrical necklines, as well as emphasis to the waist with cinched waistlines, or peplum cuts. Standout gowns included the bright yellow embroidered gown, the bold orange criss cross halter with the added peplum style, and the wine colored gown with off shoulder straps and an origami inspired hemline.
