On Wednesday, Marsha Ambrosius stopped by Nashville with her latest tour, "Friends and Lovers" and she shut it down in front of a sold out audience at the Mercy Lounge. The songtress is the epitome of a diamond in the rough for music industry and I see her as being an iconic figure for our generation. The show was amazing and she delivered true showmanship onstage.

Her voice and genuine spirit filled the room immediately. As I scanned the crowd, it was a strong fan base for the British native, with a strong female presence and some couples.

Marsha hit the blazing hot stage ( Literally it felt like 110 in that place!) looking street chic with big hair, bamboo earrings, 2 gold chains, gold rings that spelled out "F*CK," a sexy black and white shirt and shorts outfit, and tall black knee boots to complete her look.

She showcased all her talents from singing, songwriting, playing the keyboard, dancing, and she opened up to the room speaking about her thoughts behind different songs and even personal advice for the ladies about men.

She covered a wide range of her songs: She captured her audience's attention immediately with her latest EP, "Fvck & Love" with her songs, "69" and "Friends and Lovers," she covered the hits from her "Late Night Early Mornings," performing : "Hope She Cheats On You," "Far Away" and of course the album title track "Late Night Early Morning." Of course she gave us our favorite tracks from her Floetry days performing: "Butterflies," "Say Yes" and "Getting Late."

The icing on the cake was when Marsha covered her newly released track "Run," Isley Brother's "Between the Sheets," and tributed the King of Pop Michael Jackson (whom she wrote the song "Butterflies" for.) singing "I Can't Help It."

Another highlight, was when Marsha's DJ got the crowd hype with "Stoner" and he mixed it up with some old school Bell Biv Devoe "Poison." Marsha definitely had the dance moves down and her fans loved the moment.

Of course, the night had to come to an end and Marsha killed her closing number "Say Yes" which did behind the keyboard. It was evident Marsha is a jack of all trades and super talented by the end of the show. This was definitely a great way to start the spring concert movement in Nashville!
