Artes de la Rosa debuted their first annual Mariachi Christmas. This event showcased local Mariachi talent from young students to professional Mariachis.
The evening began with a performance by two very talented young men. Both are students of the Artes' Academy. First to perform was Diego Nevarez, a 12 year old young man with a very strong voice.
Next on stage was Mario Macias, season 9 contestant of Tengo Talento. His voice as smooth as butter and stage presence had the audience mesmerized. Mario has also competed in the 2013 Tejano Idol. Watch out for this young man, he is on his way to taking the Latin music industry by storm.
The featured performers for the night were Mariachi de Oro. This evening their performance was a showcase of the music by Jose Alfredo Jimenez. A world renown musician from Guanjuanto, Mexico who made a name for himself in Latin industry. His contribution to Latin music is legendary.
Artes de la Rosa awarded their first ever Lifetime Achievement Award tonight. This award was given to Mariachi de Oro for the endless contribution to the Fort Worth community. Through the years they have grown not only in number but in reputation as the premier Mariachi group in Fort Worth, TX.
