The lights dimmed and the cheering began. The band played and the cheering got louder and then salsa singer Marc Anthony appeared from behind a cloud of smoke and began descending the steps down to the stage . . . and the sold out crowd went wild Saturday night, February 8, 2014 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
Anthony brought his Vivir Mi Vida tour to Atlantic City where he has appeared numerous times before. The tour named after his first release single from his long awaited new album "Marc Anthony 3.0" which elevated Anthony once again into the top Latin music charts.
The single "Vivir Mi Vida," (“Live My Life”) maintained its number one position on Billboard Latin Music charts for months and during the same time frame of its release his album has gone platinum.
The concert was delayed about 15 minutes but was so worth the wait that the audience hardly noticed! The extra minutes gave his fans more time to anticipate what was about to take place.
The filled hall was on overdrive from the minute Marc Anthony was seen on the huge screen before setting foot on stage to the minute the concert ended. Chants, screams, applause, music and the constant interruptions of, “We love you,” continuously filled Boardwalk Hall.
Anthony, still looking as svelte as ever is showing no signs of slowing down. He can still hold those long notes with expression and dance his way back and forth across the stage, his energy is unending. "I'm home," said Anthony as he sang, danced, and engaged his fans for almost two hours. For his all Spanish themed concert, Anthony is backed by a outstanding 14 piece band and a large center stage LED screen displaying larger than life images of Marc Anthony as he performed.
Anthony included his hits from his 20 plus years recording hits - "Que Precio Tiene El Cielo," "Hasta Ayer," "Valio la Pena," "Te Conozco Bien," "Y Hubo Alguien,, "Y Como Es El" and more.
The concert ended as it should, with his legions of fans all standing in front of their seats and Marc Anthony singing his hit single "Vivir Mi Vida."
