Carol V. Aebersold and Chanda A. Bell are a mother-daughter team who created The Elf on the Shelf book in which a DVD and an elf toy is included in a book set and could become a new fun Christmas tradition in your home.
The last page of the book is a personalized page, in which the reader’s family names their own elf with a date for the family to record it. Just remember this is a secret to be shared if you promise to keep it. It’s about an elf that comes to visit the child and reports back to Santa whether or not the child has been naughty or nice, which will make the Boss happy or sad. But the elf must be named in order for the mission to start. There are rules of course, so as not to spoil the Christmas magic.
Remember to register the name you choose for your elf at http://www.elfontheshelf.com for a special message from Santa.
