Mainstream media; a medium for the establishment

The largest newspaper in Arizona has a couple of columnists that appear all too often on the front page and in the Valley and state news sections. From the sound of the web they weave one would think you were reading the Opinion page-nay, this daily dose of propaganda is passed off as local news.

The regular political comic has the exact same sentiments as the columnists as he casts everyone but a left wing extremist in a very negative view. Either he has more days off than the reporters or the paper decides to allow another political comic’s work to appear maybe once a week.

The current tirades by columnists E. J. Montini and by Laurie Roberts are on gun control, transparency and marijuana. Montini bad mouthed the Goldwater institute taking things they said out of context. Montini couldn’t find a fact if it landed in his backyard. The Goldwater Institute and the Heritage Foundation are a couple of sources for facts that stand against the false propaganda that’s being issued by our government through these media people.

Roberts meanwhile is on a campaign to spread false information not only about pot but against anyone that doesn’t share her opinions calling them “kooks”. Steve Benson draws the repulsive comics that support their position and that of their fearless leader in Washington. The President will spend a $100 billion on a whim so long as it’s consistent with his Socialist agenda.

Come on Arizona Republic, if you’re going to have a name like that at least try to live up to it. Where’s your integrity? Get those false prophets off the front page and put them in the Opinion section where they belong. This isn’t the Republic of China yet; journalism is supposed to report the facts. Start reporting on how your reporters are aiding the President in taking away our freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness since the day he first took office.
