Recently, we visited Nasha lounge and bar in Chandler again to try out their lunch buffet. Nasha lounge and bar is located on the South West corner of Dobson and Warner roads in Chandler. I had previously reviewed their a la carte dinner menu. When we arrived there around 1 PM, the place was teeming with diners. We had to wait a little to get to a table. Whenever there is a wait time for any Indian restaurant in the valley, there is a good chance that the food is good.
We went straight for the lunch buffet. One of the positives of this restaurant is that the vegetarian options are as good as the meat choices. On that particular day (it was a Friday) the vegetarian options were rice, yellow moong daal, a simple stir fry with potatoes and beans, dam aloo, palak paneer, chole and navratan korma. Add to that a good salad bar and papadums and onion rings, any vegetarian could eat to his heart's content. The meat options were chicken biriyani, tandoori chicken, goat meat curry and butter chicken. Dessert included kheer and hot gulab jamuns. Tea and soup are complimentary and included in the buffet cost.
Needless to say all the buffet items were excellent and cooked to perfection. The vegetarian dishes were simple and similar to what is usually cooked in Indian households. The daal and beans stir fry is what my Mom would make for lunch. The meat dishes were not overtly spicy. The buffet came with hot fluffy naans delivered to the table.
Overall, a good selection of food even on a week day. The cost is $10.99 for the lunch buffet and it includes beverages. A good value for money specially with the number of food items included in the buffet.
