Luigi Tacchino, Albarola, Barbera del Monferrato Superiore, DOCG, IT, 2009

Luigi Tacchino, Albarola, Barbera del Monferrato Superiore, DOCG, IT, 2009 is a food friendly wine ready to drink now. In the glass it is ruby red in color with aromas of cherry and blackberries. It has flavors of red and black fruit and no really tannins to speak of. This is a fruit driven wine with a short finish. More New World in style it would work well with roasted chicken and even pork chops with a cherry sauce. This wine is a nice introduction to the Barbera grape and will be a people pleaser.
