When Chef Cat Cora comes to teach a sweet lamb named Loukoumi and his friends how to cook there are several messes in the kitchen, however, it’s always delicious especially if you cook from the heart.
Loukomi, which means sweet in Greek and his pals were goofing around one day playing tag when his Aunt Cat Cora (a cat of course) came to visit giving them a cooking lesson in making Grandma’s Italian Cream Cake, which Cat said she got every year for her birthday. With the bag of flour exploding, Loukoumi slipping on the floor with a carton of eggs and some milk that got spilled (don’t cry over spilled milk,) everyone thought the cake was delicious.
Included in the book is Chef Cat Cora’s own Italian Cream Cake recipe, which you may also make a tradition of serving this to the little ones for their birthday. There is also an easy peasy Cinnamon Toast recipe from actor John Aniston, television pioneer Oprah Winfrey’s Corn Fritters, a healthy Quinoa Salad from actress Jennifer Aniston, and Ritz Cracker Sandwiches the kids can put together themselves from entertainer Gloria Gaynor and a fun Any Day Sundae from the author himself Nick Katsoris. There are more recipes from celebrity favorites such as Rachael Ray, Ellen DeGeneres, Celine Dion, Jay Leno, and the sweet lamb himself Loukoumi.
Loukomi’s Celebrity Cookbook is wonderful and an inspiring story with delicious recipes from 50 celebrities, and it is 88 pages long.
