Lotus Bud meditation-timer iPhone app has a nifty "Mindfulness Bell" feature

In the search for perpetual mindfulness and blissful clarity, any modern yogi must make extra efforts to achieve a universal sense of balance and ongoing growth. Getting wrapped up in the amicable distractions of contemporary existence allows one's mind to easily forget its higher teachings and degrade to an unextraordinary malaise.

do not hesitate

Utilizing the Lotus Bud iPhone app, it is now possible to let your smartphone serve a similar function to the mindfulness bells found in Buddhist monasteries. Sending you notifications, complete with an optional ring, at random intervals throughout the day, the app encourages you to remember the larger picture and not to become overly concerned with any single problem.

have faith in what is real

In my experience, the bell often rings at terribly convenient times, such as when I am slacking off from an important task to do something minor or dwelling on unnecessary and/or negative feelings. When I get the notification, it's always a nice reminder to carry on with the important aspects ofmy day-today life. When my phone is set to silent, such as during work, the vibration alone is an apt reminder to quit my daydreaming.

life is what you want

The app also includes various timer functions, daily meditation goals, and a meditation journal system.

Namaste.
