Loot Crate is a monthly service in which you receive geek-friendly merchandise at a discount, grouped around a particular theme. This month’s theme was heroes, which is even broader than last month's villains theme. The hero of note for this particularly item is Sonic the Hedgehog. I could have gotten Mega Man or Proto-Man, but alas, we got Sonic.
This is another one of those spin-the-wheel products that if it were Proto-Man -- my son bought a Proto-Man plush arm cannon at PortCon Maine -- things would have gone differently. But I got Sonic. Not really a fan of Sonic, other than his advertisement in Wreck-It Ralph about dying outside of your game. Despite Loot Crate's best efforts to describe the air freshner as usable "in your car, locker, or pretty much anywhere" it's probably going to be in Loot Crater's cars. That's where mine will be, next to the big red 20-sided die air freshner.
I rated this average out of five. If it was Proto-Man I would have given it to the boy. Want your own Loot Crate? Sign up at LootCrate.com ($19.37/month for one month) and use code SAVE10 to receive 10% off.
