Lockstraps keeping your motorcycle and equipment safe.

At the 2012 Progressive Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, California I ran into Jeff Cranny, President of Lockstraps.
I already use their helmet – jacket lock (product 901 carbiner with two foot cable extension)
If you are not familiar with lockstraps, the basic component is a locking carbiner that features a three digit combination lock, the combination code is user settable at any time.
The carbiner can be bought by itself (product 801) or with straps that feature a stainless steel cable inside to deter theft. The carbiner itself is made of stout metal and is coated to protect finishes on vehicles and make it harder for a thief to get cutting tools on them.
I have been testing the 801 carbiner and the 101 locking tie down straps for the last month, and so far nothing has been touch or bothered. I tried to cut the strap with normal wire cutters and had a tough time.
There are many uses for lockstraps besides¬¬¬ securing motorcycles.
I have seen them used to lock ladders on racks.
Secure luggage.
Lock tool boxes.
A friend of mine work as the Prison said he could see a use for them there.
Lock straps can be used to secure anything of value, the only limitation is imagination.
